I found a hardwood supplier that had a bunch of Brazilian Rosewood pieces for sale, but most were very small and very irregularly shaped. It was very nice wood though, and I couldn't beat the price, so I got some random pieces, figuring I'd find something to make with them...
This ring box is made from a single piece of the rosewood. It's been tung-oiled and waxed. The interior has self-adhesive-backed felt for a lining. The hinge is set into the wood for a flush closure.
